Which is better assassination or subtlety

Post by Meldoron Subtlety is best right now especially for arenas. Assassination is good in bgs, but I still prefer subtlety in any case. I even play it for pve. The reasons for subtlety being better and due to mobility and control. For mobility, the obvious characteristic of subtlety is shadowstep.

It now grants both Vendetta and Adrenaline Rush for 10 seconds after the last tick of Sepsis. This is not enough to make the covenant anywhere close to Venthyr or Kyrian, but it is a nice buff to the people that really want to play Night Fae. This change makes Toxic Onslaught the best single target legendary when playing Night Fae. And we also got a moderate buff to single target damage through increased frequency of Shadow Techniques , an auto-attack resource builder.

Another significant buff was the addition of covenant legendaries, one of the more critical issues we had in Castle Nathria was the severe lack of good legendaries. Two new legendaries called Obedience , and Resounding Clarity crushed the value of our old options, resulting in a sizable damage buff. Toggle navigation. Sub got hit the hardest when they started doing spec identity rather than class, then started pruning.

I would even suggest that Outlaw is burstier than Sub in PvE content. Really annoying to me because I just leveled up a second Rogue for the intent of her being a sneaky Sub Rogue. But Outlaw is best for dungeons and is viable for raids which makes it great in that you only have to master one spec.

No one will take a sin rogue for end game dungeons. Especially in dungeons. Auto attack, wait for energy…auto attack, finisher…wait for energy.

Neither Assassination or Subtlety felt good to play. Unless I'm missing something, all the logs still show assassination rogues doing great and sub rogues nowhere to be found. I have to be missing something.

There's a hive-mind mentality around the WoW community. When one thing performs well, seemingly better than another, everyone starts to play that and says that everything else is shit. Sub was undertuned early on, but that was mostly fixed. Sub's Mastery scales incredibly well, due to it being increased damage on our finishers.

It doesn't need a ton of Crit to be good, like Sin does, and Vers does a lot to buff all of the damage that the spec puts out. Even Haste is valuable to Sub although not as valuable as everything else , because it has a more consistent need to generate CPs.

Sin's Mastery only buffs one portion of the spec - Poisons. So much damage is baked into Rupture that other finishers hardly matter, let alone Mut.
