The tiles are strange and ugly, so it thought of painting them so make it some kind of feature wall and not so strange. Since the wall has no contact with water, could think of any reasons why I could not just use regular wall paint, if I sand really well? I would use bonding primer first though. And use semigloss for the latex paint so you can wipe it down. Is there an inconspicuous tile you could try first? Let me know how it goes!
